St. Charles, Frank C. Edwards, 89, of St. Charles died Saturday July 12th at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Frank was born October 13, 1913 in Utica to Charles and Mary (Olson) Edwards. He and Bernice Nuszloch were married on February 18, 1939 at Bethany. They farmed near Utica until moving to St. Charles in the fall of 1959. He then worked in several farm related jobs and as a custodian at St. Charles Elementary School for more than 20 years. Frank enjoyed gardening, horses, baseball and playing cards. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Charles and had served on the Utica School Board. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Frank enjoyed the last moths of his life at St. Charles Assisted Living. For Frank a good day was a day full of hard work. Survivors include his wife Bernice, two sons, Larry (Maureen) Edwards of Faribault and Roger (Lee) Edwards of Wabasha, two daughters, Joanne (Larry) Small of St. Charles and Karen (Jack) Henry of Dover, 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, sic great great-grandchildren and a brother Curt (Kathryn) Edwards of St. Charles. His parents, and three brothers, Robert, Donald and Clarence preceded Frank in death. Funeral Services will be 2PM Wednesday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with the Rev. Michael Hart officiating. Cremation will follow with burial at Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Tuesday at Hoff Funeral Home’s – St. Charles Chapel. They may also call one hour before services at the church.
