Ellyn Lovas

Ellyn Jean Lovas, 62, of Winona, died Monday, October 23, 2023 at Lake Winona Manor.

Ellyn was born April 4, 1961 in Winona to Eugene and Shirley (Butrimas) Lovas. She graduated from Winona Senior High and Winona State University. Ellyn worked as a special education teacher for several years at St. Mary's Catholic School in Caledonia and Winona Senior High. Ellyn also worked part time at Rocco's Pizza for several years. Ellyn was very fond of traveling and took many trips throughout the years.

She is survived by her brother, Eugene Lovas, Jr., four nieces, Dana (Joe) Palubicki, Kristine Glover, Alyssa (Aaron) Judge and Cassandra Lovas; many great nieces and nephews; and her partner of 30 years, Keith Peterson, as well as his children, Tracy Mangunlay and Andrew Peterson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathy Lovas.

A celebration of her life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Holzinger Lodge in Winona, MN. Friends of all family members are invited.
