Eileen Bertha Bunker

January 25, 1942 — January 3, 2024

Lewiston

Eileen Bertha Bunker, age 81 of Lewiston, MN, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

Eileen B. Ratz was born on January 25, 1942, to Herman and Sadie Ratz in Detroit Lakes, MN, where she attended school and graduated in 1960 and went on to get her cosmetology diploma from Cliffs Beauty College in Minneapolis, MN, graduating in 1962.

After graduating she met Bill Bunker whom she wed in 1965. While being married to a Navy Man she was able to travel to various countries, including Italy, Spain and across the United States from West Coast to East Coast.

Eileen and Bill would later divorce and she settled in Lewiston, MN, near her daughter and then moving in after a hip surgery.

The last 23 years she worked for an electronics company, Riverside Integrated Solutions. She had many friends there and she missed them and they missed her also, when she retired in 2019.

Eileen had a deep faith in God and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church (Silo). She greatly enjoyed Bible Study and when pastor would ask “any questions”. She was sure to have a few.

Eileen is survived by her two sons and two daughters, David (Julie) of California, Gary (Kat) of Texas, Carol (Ken) Borck of Lewiston, MN, and Sharon Sandles of California; two brothers, Jim (Becky) of Bloomington, MN, and David (Judy) of Stateline, NV; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lois Engstrom; one grandson; ex-husband; and many cousins.

There will not be any service per her request. (Two Other Requests) She would like loved ones to spend more time with each other while they are still on earth and being she was of such strong faith, she would like to see memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church (Silo), School, and ministries.
