Dorothy Louise Luedtke (nee: Anderson) passed away at her home, surrounded by loved ones, on Friday, March 15, 2024. Dorothy was born Oct 18, 1942, in Winona to Wilford & Alma (Carney) Anderson. She graduated high school in 1960 and worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. Dorothy married Dennis E. Luedtke on September 5, 1967. They both loved riding horses and met on a trail ride at Whitewater State Park and continued to own and share a passion for horses for many years. She was a fierce protector of animals, working and volunteering for the Winona Area Human Society. When the shelter was full, it was not uncommon to see a house full of foster cats and dogs. She loved to remodel homes and always had a garden full of vegetables; never afraid to get her hands dirty. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother for her two grandchildren. She will be missed dearly. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Dennis Luedtke of Winona and son, Thomas (Siobhan) Luedtke of Winona; 2 grandchildren, Caoimhe and Rowan Luedtke; sister, Sheri Simmonds of Lynnwood, WA; and stepmother, Jeanne Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marilyn Doebbert; and brothers, Kenneth Anderson, Wayne Anderson, and Roger Anderson
