Diane Mary Walters

Diane Mary Walters, 82 of Winona, died Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Winona Health.

Diane was born February 24, 1944 in Winona to Alphonse and Ceceilia (Bescup) Lejk. She graduated from Winona High School. On October 27, 1962, she married Keith Walters at the Pickwick Baptist Church in Pickwick, MN.

Diane worked in food service at WSU for several years, as well as Cathedral Crafts, Norwest Bank and Merchants Bank. She was a longtime member of Pleasant Valley Church.

In her earlier years, she enjoyed rollerskating and dancing. She was a lifetime bowler and enjoyed knitting, shopping, trips to the casino and traveling. Diane was a fixture and proud supporter of her childrens and grandchildrens sporting events and activities.

She is survived by her children, Keri (Jody) Brabbit, Tod (Mary) Walters, Steven (Danielle) Walters, and Mark (Lisa) Walters; grandchildren, Nikita (Doug) Higgins, Nathan Brabbit, Nicholas Walters (Angela Beck), Rachael (Jamey) Kolles, Josh (Lisa) Walters, Erin Walters, Alex Walters, Ava Walters and Alyda Walters; and great-grandchildren, Samuel & Finnegan Brabbit, Leona & Edmund Higgins, Bella & Oakley Walters, Ruby Kolles and Eryk Walters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith in 2004; parents; infant son; granddaughter, Emma Walters and two brothers, David & Donny Lejk.

A Celebration of her life will be 4 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2026 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, led by funeral celebrant Jen Corcoran. A reception will follow until 7 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Pickwick Cemetery in a private family service.

Memorials are preferred to the Winona Humane Society or the Winona USBC Youth Bowling.
