Dennis Troke, age 78, of Winona, MN, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025. Dennis was born in Winona on January 24, 1947, to Clarence and Valeria (Jumbeck) Troke. He graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1965 and married the love of his life, Darlene Pulchinski, on October 13, 1973, at St. John’s Catholic Church. Dennis and Darlene raised two children together, his favorite daughter and his favorite son, and eventually had grandchildren. His favorite role in life was being a Papa.
Dennis dedicated 38 working years to Badger Construction (formerly Warner and Swasey). He also worked for Thern for 6 years, retiring in 2009. Dennis also proudly served in the Army National Guard for 27 years.
Dennis was a proud lifetime member of several organizations, including the American Legion Post 9, Eagles Club, and Elks Lodge 327. His commitment to the community extended to the Goodview Activity Group, where he actively engaged for an impressive 45 years. Additionally, Dennis was a member of the Red Men’s Club and Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed bowling and playing cards, and could fix just about anything. Dennis brought enthusiasm and camaraderie to his games. He had a particular passion for camping, fondly spending 40 years at Jellystone Park in Warrens, Wisconsin, making countless memories with family and friends.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Darlene; children, Deb (Patrick) Kramer and Doug (Angie) Troke; grandchildren, Alex Rudnik, Ben Rudnik, Brenden Troke, and Julia Troke; siblings, Carl (Bonnie) Troke, and Diane Hatleli; sister-in-law, Joann Troke; special nephew (who was like a brother to Dennis), Bruce Little; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Betty (Art) Little, Clarence C. (Marge) Troke, Kenneth (Mitzi) Troke, Donald “Dosh” Troke, and Carol Decker; and brother-in-law, Dennis Hatleli.
As Dennis would say, “See you in Church” and “Get home before dark.”
