Deborah “Debbie” Thorson was born February 27, 1953, to Thomas and Marie Cromwell.
Debbie was stubborn and lived her life on her terms, right to the very end. She laughed easily, had a giving heart, and enjoyed talking with people. Her favorite subject was sharing stories about her time living on a cattle ranch in Bannack, Montana, breaking horses.
One of twelve children, Debbie grew up surrounded by her siblings and often shared stories of their adventures together. Some of the most memorable were about a cantankerous elk and an ill-tempered bobcat who were family pets, spending time with her Dad, and riding the hot-blooded Arabian/Thoroughbred, she adored.
She is survived by her daughter Amy, her son Gerald (Cece), and her grandchildren Teagan and Richard. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents Thomas and Marie, and one of her sisters (NaDean).
In keeping with her connection to Montana and the ranch life she cherished, her family plans to return her ashes to Bannack, where they will be scattered in a place that was meaningful to her.
