Deanna Schwoboda

Deanna Clover Schwoboda, 85, of St. Charles passed away Tuesday, July 4^th, 2023 at Sunrise Cottage Senior Living Memory Care in Rochester.

Deanna was born September 29, 1938 in Faribault to Milo and Florence (Bailey) Whipps. She and Robert (Bob) Cain were married in 1956. They divorced in 1978. Though the relationship was not permanent they did have six children together. She and Holland Roberts were married November 22, 1986 and divorced in 1993. Deanna married George Schwoboda November 9, 2005. He passed June 6, 2023. Deanna worked many years in the food industry, as a waitress at Michaels in Rochester and retiring from the dietary department at Mayo Clinic.  She enjoyed time in her flower garden and most especially with her dogs, Chico, and Mr. Wong. Deanna loved spending time with her St. Charles girlfriends, playing dominos and cards at the senior center. She loved shopping and antiquing with George. They enjoyed winter travels in their motorhome to Silver Springs, FL for several years.

Survivors include five children; Cheryle (Roger) Ihrke of Dover Bradley Cain of Florala, AL, Teresa Kain (Norman Domholt) of Excelsior, Lonnie Cain of Orlando, FL, and Darrin (Leslie) Cain of Rochester, grandchildren; Jessica Ihrke (Joshua Roberts), Eric Ihrke, Erin (Darin) Schwantz, Alison Lund, Alexander Lund, Kathleen Cain (Andrew Struckmann), and Peter Cain (Lexi Jech), great-granddaughters, Octavia Struckmann and Athena Cain, a sister Roseanna Struthers of Minneapolis, and brothers, Milo (Denise) Whipps of Lancaster, OH, and Lynn Whipps of Minneapolis. She was preceded by a son Kim Cain, a brother Larry Whipps, both parents and her husbands.

A time of visitation and reception will be from 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8^th at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. www.hofffuneral.com.
