Dean Frank Nuszloch
October 20, 1951 – July 11, 2026
Dean Frank Nuszloch (74) of rural Utica, passed away on July 11, 2026, as a result of a farm accident.
Dean was born on October 20, 1951, in Winona, MN, to Francis and Lovina (Voelker) Nuszloch. He was raised on his family’s farm in Utica. He attended Lewiston High School, graduating in 1969. Dean still holds the record for the most basketball rebounds – 338 in the 1968/1969 season! Dean went on to graduate from Winona State University with a degree in accounting. He worked in accounting for a short time before returning to take over the family farm. Additionally, Dean worked for the Winona County Highway Department, Hubbard Foods, and currently still worked for Kane Transport.
Dean’s love for John Deere tractors was lifelong from the pedal tractor that brought him joy as a boy to the powerful four-wheel-drive tractors he respected as an adult, they represented his deep connection to farming, hard work and the rural life he cherished. In 2017, the family farm received the honor of being recognized as a Century Farm by the Winona County Recorder and at the Winona County Fair.
Dean married Dorothy Brand (Schultz) on August 17, 1985. He was blessed not only with a wife through this union, but also with 5 stepsons, who he loved dearly.
Dean is survived by his wife of nearly 41 years, Dorothy; stepsons, Dennis Jr. (Bonnie), Darin, Douglas (Cathy), David (Andrea), and Daniel (Heather); 16 grandchildren, Dustin, Jered, Zachary, and Lucas, Tristin (Halle), Michaela, and Abigail, Damian (Jenny), Brooklyn (Dalton), Mitchell (Ashley), and Austin (Carley), Matthew, Monica, and Malayna, Beau and Irelynn; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Dale of Reno, NV; sister, Audrey of Winona, MN; 3 nieces, Vicki (Dale) Gathje, Chris (Keith) Miller, and Sue (Andy) Keiffer; 2 nephews, Chris and Adam (Alicia); sisters-in-law, Judi (John) Randall, Jean Schultz, and Lorraine Schultz; brother-in-law, Richard Schultz; and many more nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Lovina Nuszloch; sister, Bonnie Keller; brothers-in-law, John, Louie, Roy, and Daniel Schultz; sisters-in-law, Betty Barber, Marlene Schultz, JoAnne Schultz, LuAnn Nuszloch, and Gretchen Nuszloch.
Per Dean’s wishes, no funeral services will be held.
