David Michael Lewis, 33, of Winona, died on September 7, 2019 surrounded by family. A mass of Christian Burial for family and close friends will be Saturday morning at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona, September 14, 2019 at 10:00AM. A gathering of friends and family will be held at Hoff Celebration of Life Center from 1PM to 3PM with memory sharing beginning at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview MN.
David was born on July 29, 1986 in Columbus, Georgia, to Randy and Nancy Lewis. He graduated from Winona Senior High School in 2005.
David's first love from an early age was hockey, and some of his teammates had said that David was one of the best goaltenders to play in Winona. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing whether it was the open water or ice. David also enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, golfing, smoking meats, and growing various hot peppers.
David is survived by his parents, Randy and Nancy Lewis of Winona; brother Matt Lewis; sisters, Meaghan (Ryan), and Stephanie; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
David was preceded in death by his by his maternal grandparents, Henry and Claire Bourque; and paternal grandparents, Charles and Betty Lewis.
David is now reunited with his dog who was his beloved best friend, Winston.
