Dale Selke

January 1, 1900 — August 25, 2003

Elba,     Dale Leon Selke, 62, of Elba died Monday August 25th at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester from complications of diabetes.     Dale was born July 31, 1941 in Red Wing to Leon and Agnes (Bade) Selke. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1959. Dale married Elaine Majerus in 1972. He worked as a milk truck driver for many years. He later worked at Brad Ragan Tire in Winona for 30 years, retiring in 2001 due to ill health.     Dale loved all sports especially baseball, football and softball.      Survivors include his wife Elaine, a son Tim (Donna Kieffer) Selke of St. Charles, six step-children, Lynda (Wayne) Kroening of St. Charles; Marilyn (Jim Biers) Ellringer of Big Lake, MN; Pat (Patty) Ellringer of St. Charles; Dale Ellringer of Austin; Mike Ellringer of Elba; and Gina ((Rick) Jones of Dover, one grandson Dante Selke, several step grandchildren, six sisters, Elaine (Mike) Burns of Schwano, WI; Darlene (Bud) Dorman of Lancaster, CA; Donna (Roger) Irish; Kathleen (Jim) Connaughty of Winona and LaVonne (Bob) Potter of Eyota and many nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his parents.     Funeral Services will be 7 PM Thursday at Hoff Funeral Home’s – St. Charles Chapel with Rev. James Callahan officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Elba. Friends may call from 4-7 Thursday at the funeral home.
