Connie Lynn Peterson

Connie Peterson passed away at her home on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

She was the adopted daughter of Warren and Betty Swenson of Houston. Connie attended Houston Public School and graduated in 1970.

Upon graduation, she married James Peterson of Caledonia. 

They had been married 50 years before Jim’s passing in 2021.

From that marriage, they had one son, Sammy James Peterson. Connie worked for 43 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Valley View Nursing Home, Able Group Home, and Gunderson Health Systems.

She loved getting to know each and every person she cared for. 

She and Jim also owned a lawn service together for 30 years.

Connie is survived by her son, Sammy (Liza) Peterson; three grandchildren, Lance, Victoria, and Chelsey; one sister, Betty Patterson of Minneapolis; aunt and uncle, Larry and Charlene Torgerson; and two nephews, Josh and Aaron Swenson.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Jim; parents, Warren and Ruby Swenson; grandson, Christian; in-laws, Sammy and Myrtle Peterson; and brother, Sheldon Swenson. 

Per Connie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Private family burial will be at the Swede Bottom Cemetery.
