Connie Carper

Connie Ann Carper, 81 of Winona, died August 2, 2026.

Connie was born November 10, 1944, in Jacksonville, IL to Roger and Edith (Lonergan) Jacques.

When her children were younger, she was very involved in their activities and was well known for her entertaining and the many St. Patrick’s Day, NYE and Halloween parties she threw throughout the years. Connie was a very talented artist and calligrapher; creating many wedding, party and other invites over the years.

She spent many wonderful years married to Bud Carper. They traveled the country together in their RV, where she made the perfect co-pilot. When their RV conked out in Naples, FL, they decided that would be home. After Bud had passed and Covid started, Connie moved to “Mountainous” Winona to be near her daughter. During her time in Winona, she met Jim Ives and they made many great memories in their 5 years together.

She is survived by her daughters, Jacquelyn Kelly and Theresa (Fred) Winkler; son, Bob (Lindy) Kelly; grandchildren, Isaac (Maggie), Jesse (Annie), Emma (Sam), Codee, Abigail, Lucy, Charlotte, Mary, Audrey, Michelle (Jared), Andrew (Justin), Kelly, & Katie; great-grandson, Jaden; sister, Denise (Mike) Brady; brothers, R.L. (Linda) Jacques, Chris (Suzanne) Jacques & Bob Jacques; sister-in-law, Joy Jacques (Liam & Seth); brother-in-law, Donny Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud; brother, Bill; sister, Therese and infant son, Christopher.

A Celebration of Connie’s life will be 1 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center – Goodview, led by Funeral Celebrant Jen Corcoran. A time of visiting will be 12 p.m., until the time of the service.
