Christopher Kruse

Christopher Kevin Kruse, 39 of Winona, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family and HCO family.

Chris was born March 26, 1987, in Winona to Kevin and Laurel (Ingersoll) Kruse. Chris was a kind soul who was truly loved by all. He was strong and resilient throughout his life, while living with severe autism. He had a goofy sense of humor, was mischievous, had a beautiful smile and an even better giggle.

He truly enjoyed working at the DAC and was always happy when the weekend was over and he could go back to work. Chris loved listening to music, using his iPad, going for car rides and out to eat, shopping for CDs, tacos, M&Ms and skittles.

He will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Laurel and Kevin Kruse; two sisters, Brianna (Mickel) Frisch and Andrea (Roger) Rott; nephew and nieces, Alex, Anna, Maddie and Mickel Jr; and his HCO family at 1031. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorial Service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview with Father Russ Scepaniak officiating.  Visitation will be 11:30 until the time of the service.  He will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery in a private family service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Home and Community Options or the Winona DAC.
