Christine G. Blackwood

Christine Genevieve Blackwood, 67 of Winona, died on January 16, 2020 with family by her side at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary's Campus in Rochester. Christine was born on July 23rd, 1952 at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester to Genevieve and John Stern.
Christine graduated from Lourdes High School in 1970. Christine's main profession was dog grooming. She had a special place in her heart for animals, plants and nature. She was an avid Vikings and Twins fan.
Christine is survived by her mother, Genevieve Stern of Rochester; son, Micah Blackwood; daughters, Jena Blackwood (Darren Bennston) and Michelle Blackwood; grandsons, Nathan, Michael and Micah; and sisters, Therese Stern (Steven Fuchs) and Lauren (Todd) Daniels. Christine was married to Terrance Blackwood, they later divorced.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Stern.
Christine spent the last seven years enjoying her home with Cardinal of Minnesota. Christine had many friends that she made during these years with Cardinal. She loved guiding staff through their first experiences in the kitchen. Christine was loved by all that came to know her.
