Charles "Chuck" E. Klos, age 57 of Eyota passed away at his home in Eyota, surrounded by his family.
Charles Edward was born on December 9, 1968 in Pittsburgh, PA the son of Keith and Linda (McConnell) Klos. He attended school in Tidioute, PA and graduated high school in 1988. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country in Kings Bay, Georgia and then was a recruiter in Brooksville, Florida following his honorable discharge. Chuck attended carpentry school following graduation and also attended community college to further his interest in computer science. He worked as a computer engineer for Multitech in Moundsview, MN. During his time in the Navy he met Melissa Ulring and they married on January 26, 1991. They lived in Georgia, Florida, the Cambridge/Blaine, MN area and settled in Eyota, MN in 2016. Chuck loved to camp and fish. He loved time with his children and grandchildren and his beloved dogs Marley and Mollie.He loved working with his hands and he could often be found doing some sort of remodeling project or other construction project.
He is lovingly survived by his wife of 35 years Melissa "Missy" Klos of Eyota, his children Courtney (Justin) Buss of Chatfield and Charles Klos, Jr. of Eyota, his father Keith (Karen) Klos of Tidioute, PA, his in laws Wayne Ulring and Kay Phillips, his grandmother Lorraine Klos of Pittsburgh, PA and siblings Keith, Lori and Melissa. He is further survived by sisters-in-law Nikki Ostby of Chatfield, Teresa Ulring of Las Vegas, NV and brother-in-law Tim Ulring of Chatfield. He is survived by 6 loving grandchildren Esmae, Emmitt, Aria, Charles III, Lila and Silas, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, one brother-in-law, his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandfather.
A celebration of Chuck's life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.at Chatfield United Methodist Church in Chatfield with Pastor Debra Collum officiating.
Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to services also at the church.
Private burial will take place in the Minnesota Veteran's Cemetery of Preston.
