Bonnie J. Sanden, 75, of Houston, died Monday, December 9, 2002, at the Valley View Nursing Home in Houston. She was born on November 27, 1927, in Emmetsberg, Iowa to Floyd and Nettie (Aplund) Patrick. Bonnie moved with her parents when she was a baby to Ryder, N.D. In 1938 after her fathers death, she and her mother moved to Houston. Bonnie’s mother then married Ed Wilson. Bonnie attended Crystal Valley Country School. On January 20, 1943 she married Allen Sanden in Caledonia, Minn. She worked at Rush Products in Rushford, Minn. for 16 years as well as helping Allen on the farm. Bonnie’s interests included Bingo, cooking, baking, shopping, and especially caring for her family. She was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston. Bonnie is survived by her husband Allen of Houston; three sons: Gary (Janie) Sanden of Hokah, Minn., Dennis (Ione) Sanden and Steve (Beth) Sanden both of Houston; two daughters: Jeanne (Pete) Johnson and Cheryl (John) Sanden both of Houston; 9 grandchildren: Daniel, Darin, Dean, Angela, Shanon, Brett, Travis, Teesh, and Jamie; 11 great-grandchildren; and one step brother, Raymond Wilson of Harrison, Michigan. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston with the Rev. Lane Zaffke officiating. Burial will be in the Stone Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Homes – Houston Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
