Kurt "Buff" Albert Stark, age 51, unexpectedly died on, July 2, 2018, at his home in Winona, MN. Kurt is survived by his parents, Curtis and Betty Stark, of Rollingstone, MN; his siblings, Richard (Debbie K), Daniel (Debbie A), LoRae (Steve) Chick, DonLea "Pete" (Debra L) and Christopher (Erin); and his 15 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and infant sister.
Kurt was born on October 6, 1966 in Winona and spent childhood growing up in Utica and Minnesota City. He graduated from Winona Senior High in 1985. Kurt was a devoted fan of The Vikings and Twins and had a deep love of music. He enjoyed playing the drums throughout his life and spending time with his family and friends. Kurt also had a love for playing Cribbage and games with his group of close friends.
A celebration of life gathering is scheduled for July 10, 2018, from 3:00-5:00pm, at Hoff Funeral Home in Goodview, MN. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kurt's life. The family would like to thank Hoff Funeral and Cremation Services for their guidance and assistance during this difficult time.

Kurt "Buff" was a good friend to our son, Eric Barr, back in the '80's. We are so sorry to hear of his death. Our deepest sympathies to the family - our son died in 1995 and we know how painful this can be for parents and siblings especially. God rest him, and peace to you all. Dan & Mickey Barr
Buff was a great guy. Me and my husband Jim Will Always remember him for all the great times we all had when we were younger, Especially the Halloween party's every year, Hanging at latch, Bon Fires..I just talked to buff and he wanted to know when the next summer slippin away bash was at prarie island every year... I have such fond memories of Buff from high school. He was always kind. I ran into Buff a couple of years ago and was delighted to see him and impressed that he remembered me. I was so saddened to hear of his unexpected passing. May God bless his family with grace and beautiful memories. Buff was a good man.
Memories will always be cherished, it's been a long time Buff but you were always sweet to me. Many nights at the roller rink and talking on the phone at night when we were supposed to be in bed. We had a lot of good times back in the day. Buff was a good friend and a very talented drummer. Glad I got to see him at the movie Solo- fly with the angels!!
